Just a Moment....    An exhibition of photographs by inka member John Faircloth

John was born and educated in Kent, England, he says 'he was silly enough, as a 21 year old, to pay his own fare to Australia (London -Tennant Creek ... from which he is yet to recover)'.

He had  many, but never enough, wonderful trips back home to visit his UK family, walk in the hills, and drink real ale in country pubs.

He is inspired by wild places, solitude, good humour, inspiring others, family and friends, his partner Marian, and his children, Tim and Nicola, (... and watching the Poms beat the Aussies at cricket).

After 40 years of walking in the mountains together, and hanging on his every word, his mate Piet, a great talker. These days, and being of a generous nature, he allows many of his inspirational words of wisdom to be left blowing in the wind, perhaps for others to enjoy as they pass by.

His five grandchildren have taught him an even greater appreciation of fine, red wine ... this leads to interesting results in the digital darkroom.

With the passing years he has learnt that wild places and inspiration can be found, and enjoyed, "Just a Moment..." from the car door.

His exhibition Just a moment.... is at inka gallery until 23 August, come and enjoy.
